Is your child hooked to mobile ? Keep an eye on them.

Is your child hooked to mobile? Keep an eye on them.

This article is mainly concerned with the kinds of  unacceptable activities of children in today's environment. We are praising that technology has made our lives faster and easier but we don't see the bad side of technology. It's not only making us lazier and dependent on machines but also affecting our lifestyle.

Today, children are living in the technological environment where they are familiar with the phones, radios, notepads, computers and various electronic gadgets. I have noticed many times in various places when any baby starts crying or making some noises , their parents take out the mobile phones and open the songs, games and videos to divert their attention. In this way, they come into contact with the digital tool soon after finding it interesting. Science brought revolution in technology in the form of mobile phones. Now, mobile phone became the most important part of everybody's life. We can't go outside without having mobile phone because it takes care of our daily schedules. Actually, we are obsessed with it.If this is the state of senior people ,then think about the mental state of children who are playing with this.

Earlier, children used to play outdoor and indoor games to enjoy their childhood days. Childhood is the golden period of life but now we are spoiling the life of our children by giving them mobile phones unnecessarily without thinking about its pros and cons.Children play video games, watch entertaining videos, look up pictures and listen catchy songs on mobile phones. They do these things while lying, standing , eating  and sitting in various abnormal postures that are not good for their health. Actually, they don't have a  sense of understanding to discriminate between right and wrong. They are just using it for their enjoyment and entertainment. They don't know continuous watching of videos will affect their eyesight badly. You can notice that most of the children below age 10 are using spectacles for their visions. Why is this so? Because they don't know the consequences of their  actions.

Childhood is the stage where children minds are like a clean slate.  They don't know what is good and what is bad for them. Whatever they learn , they learn first from their parents. As you know , parents are overtly indulged in using mobile phones without any concern  of how it is impacting their kids.Children think that mobile phones are good for all age groups so they start demanding mobile phones from their parents for use. Sometimes, they keep pestering without any purpose and parents give them to prevent from  constant trouble. Once they used, you know what it is going to happen. It becomes their habit and they get addicted  little by little.

These days social media is on rise. As you can see that small age people are the most active ones on social media like Tiktok , PUBG, Facebook, Whatsapp etc. Boys and girls are getting crazy for these things due to the ongoing trends At times, they spoil their studies by wasting precious time on this. They think that everything is internet and mobile phone. They desire to become famous little stars  by using this medium. In the end, they get ruined.

In the olden days, people allowed their children to go outside and play so that they could get physically stronger and healthier. But now, children have become couch potatoes . They don't play outdoor games and focus mainly on indoor games especially online video games. This sedentary lifestyle is very harmful to their physical and mental health. These kinds of activities lead to serious diseases. Are we pushing our children towards darkness?. They have the whole world(mobile phone with internet)  in their hands which is full of  good and bad content. A child who does know what is good for him or her , can learn criminal activities from any unpleasant source through mobile phones because phones don't teach ethics  to them. It's parents who carry the responsibility to teach their children the moral values so that they can become responsible citizens with good human values in future. So it's necessary to keep an eye on your children and prevent them from using mobile phones unless there is something important to studies and learning. Keep a tight rein  and also keep checking their online activities  so that  they can't  get distracted from evil things. Wake up before it gets too late.
